Stoppt den rechten Terror!
Ausnahmsweise sperren wir den Laden morgen, 22.02.2020, zwischen 15.00 und 16.00 zu. Grund ist die Demo am Kö gegen den rechten Terror allerorten. Davor und danach könnt ihr euch selbstverständlich mit Seife und Co. eindecken.
Neue Lieferung eingetroffen
Am vergangenen Dienstag ist unsere zweite große Lieferung aus Thessaloniki eingetroffen. Die Regale sind wieder aufgefüllt – was es alles gibt, seht ihr hier.
Wir haben diesmal insbesondere auf größere Verpackungseinheiten gesetzt, sodass im Laden auch abgefüllt werden kann. Bringt gerne Eure überschüssigen Behältnisse mit in die Seiferei, sodass wir den Verpackungsmüll ein wenig reduzieren können.
Augsburg einseifen
Wir machen jetzt mit bei Augsburg handelt. Zwar finden wir nicht alles gut, was unter dem Label Fridays for Future so läuft – etwa wenn in Berlin Bezahlevents für Menschen organisiert werden, die unter Demokratie eher ein Start-up als eine emanzipatorische Lebensform verstehen, oder mancherorts antifaschistische Aktivist*innen aus der Bewegung gedrängt werden sollen – aber im Großen und Ganzen stehen wir hinter dem Anliegen und den Forderungen von FFF und unterstützender Organisationen. Und dank der Antifa-Jugend ist bei Fridays for Future Augsburg ja sichergestellt, dass immer auch auf die entscheidenden Zusammenhänge mit Kapitalismus und den Folgen einer imperialen Lebensweise hingewiesen wird.
In diesem Sinne: Fridays for Future, und mittwochs und samstags in Die Seiferei!
Kompletter Palmöl-Verzicht
Seit Februar 2020 verzichten die Arbeiter*innen von Vio.Me bei der Herstellung sämtlicher Produkte auf Palmkernöl und greift stattdessen auf bio-dynamisch hergestelltes Olivenöl zurück. Hier gibt es ihre Erklärung auf Englisch:
PALM KERNEL OIL REMOVAL & ADDITION OF BIODYNAMIC OLIVE OIL in the production of VIO.ME. soaps
Responding to the demands of our time, but also to the demands of the people who have been supporting our products and our struggle for years, we have proceeded to remove palm kernel oil from the production of ALL of our products.
Although from our earliest productions, we used sustainably produced palm kernel oil, we chose – perhaps slowly – to completely remove it from our production and replace it by playing a small part in protecting the forests of Indonesia and the Amazon and in the awakening of the community regarding environmental issues related to the use of palm oil, such as deforestation, the greenhouse effect, etc.
We strive to continually improve our products, staying true to our principles, and evolving to meet the needs of our community and our solidarity supporters!
As a result of the above improvement in all of our products, we proceeded with the production of soap bars with biodynamic olive oil. Biodynamic farming works as well as organic farming, where no chemical substances and fertilizers are used, and it goes a step further, taking into account the interaction of several factors, such as soil fertility, agriculture and livestock, to properly activate the hidden potential of the plant.
After many months of trials, trial productions, a trial period and lots of artistry, we can introduce you to the new products that you can now supply from our e-shop!
